Outdoor Sports Guide is partnering with Utah Heritage Foundation to promote a unique 5k run that includes the challenge of eating donut holes during the race, The Donut Dash. For each donut hole you eat, time is deducted from your finish time. The race begins on November 10, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the State Capitol.
The Donut Dash benefits the work of Utah Heritage Foundation in historic preservation. Invite your family to stay after the race for Memory Grove Discovery Day in Memory Grove, where runners and walkers will finish the 5K.
This family-friendly event will include a scavenger hunt, stained glass and brick masonry activities. Every child will also be given a coloring book of Memory Grove landmarks. These activities are generally suitable for kids 4-12.
What better way to enjoy running than while eating the great donut hole varieties of Banbury Cross? Use the code DONUT12 before Nov. 4th on active.com to get a $5 discount on registration.
