Are you a race director? Check out this great event coming this weekend! We will be there handing out magazines. Hope you can join us!
Have you, like other event promoters, noticed the calendar is getting crowded? Looking to make your event stand out? Do you want to take your running, cycling, or multi-sport events to the next level?

Join us February 23 at the Wasatch Race Directors Summit. This one-day conference with several presentations from race directors, athletes, and others will help you focus on making your event – whether a small community 5K race or a 3,500 person cycling tour – the best it can be.
The Wasatch Race Directors Summit will be held at Salt Lake Running Company in Salt Lake City.
With presentations on participant experience, sponsorship development, SWAG, marketing strategy, and more the Wasatch Race Directors Summit will have speakers and discussions focusing on cycling tours and races, running events, and multi-sport races to give the conference something for event directors and promoters of all kinds.
Current presentation topics include:
- Social Media Marketing 101
- Timing & Results
- Media relations
- Athlete experience
- Sponsorship development
- And more
Your $40 registration fee includes:
- Networking with dozens of other event directors from the region
- Prize drawing – each attendee will donate a prize
- Catered lunch (vegetarian options available)
- Breakout discussions for focused brainstorming sessions
- Inclusion in the Wasatch Race Directors database for ease in communicating with each other after the event
- One free entry into the May 27 Bear Lake Monster Half Marathon (value $45) to use yourself or as a prize for your event participants
- Copies of all digital presentations emailed to each participant after the conference
Day-of registration will be available but space at a table is not guaranteed. Join us on Saturday, February 23 in Salt Lake City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Registration is now open and a detailed agenda for the conference will be available soon.
Bring your ideas, your business cards, your event flyers and an item to donate to the prize drawing (race entries, t-shirts, advertising trades, etc) and be a part of the first event promoters summit on the Wasatch Front. Draw on the experience of others and share the tips you’ve learned over the years as we turn Utah (and surrounding states if you’d like to come!) into the best state for endurance sports events.
