Like wine? Like bikes? Head to Park City next weekend (July 12-14) for the annual Park City Food and Wine Classic, which features an array of fun cycling seminars paired with tasty adult beverages. These great events still have tickets available, but you'll need to purchase right away before they sell out. I attended the Hair of the Dog ride last year and enjoyed the biking and amazing food from High West, plus we got cute bike jerseys from Merrell to boot! Here's the scoop on cycling events you can participate in during this fantastic festival.
Mud, Sweat & Cheers is Friday morning at 10 a.m. and it's a scenic, intermediate mountain bike ride that departs from Stein Eriksen Lodge at Deer Valley's single-track trails followed by lunch served by Stein Eriksen’s own Zane Holmquist, who will be leading the ride before preparing lunch. Fisher, Zacherle, and David Arthur vineyards, will pair wines with lunch.
A Zinful Day of Single Tracks is an expert or intermediate-level singletrack mountain bike ride on Saturday at 10 a.m. that departs from St. Regis. Followed by lunch served by St. Regis executive chef Chip McMullin, with wines selected by David Phillips, co-owner of Michael David Winery and winemaker for Seven Deadly Sins.
Hair of the Dog, a scenic road biking seminar that kicks off from High West Distillery & Saloon, is offered on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Riders will take clip in for a 25-mile ride led by High West whiskey maker David Perkins and executive chef James Dumas, then enjoy lunch prepared by Dumas and whiskeys selected by Perkins.
Free bike jersey with every ride! Each ride lasts about three hours, and patrons are asked to show up no later than 9:30 a.m. Only guests 21 and over can participate. Get your tickets HERE.
