Color Me Rad!

Thanks to Color Me Rad and UVU for hosting a radical 5k this weekend!

First off, thanks to Color Me Rad for bringing back the word "rad." I use this word often, and people are always hating about it! As for the event itself, it was rad from the get-go. Our race packets had awesome sunglasses to run in, along with the best race tee shirt I've EVER seen. (That is saying a lot!)

On race day we sported white shirts, old running shoes and big smiles (closed mouth only, color in your mouth is not enjoyable) and ran through Color Station after Color Station as powdered, colored corn starch was tossed at us by volunteers. Plus, there was no time clock to pressure us in to working too hard, so we just got out there and enjoyed the run!

Then came the Super Soakers of Color! These guns sprayed out liquid color that penetrated through clothing, temporarily staining your skin. Super fun during the race, but the clean up took a few rounds of exfoliation.

The race concluded with mass color throwings, a fruit feast, and plenty of picture snapping. We followed it up by dining out dirty at Mimi's Cafe. We got some funny looks, but had a great time. There are plenty more photos from the race that will all be posted ASAP.

Did you miss out on the awesomeness? Sad for you. Check out www.colormerad.com for pictures of the fun you didn't have, and info about future events. We hope to see your color-covered self at next year's run. We won't be missing it!
