Ludacris (Christopher Brian Bridges) began rapping at the age of nine after his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, but he first entered the music industry on the radio waves as a DJ calling himself Chris Lova Lova.  


In 1998 he began recording his debut album, Incognegro, and chose the stage name Ludacris based on his "split personality" that he considered "ridiculous" and "ludicrous". Despite poor sales, this original album is still available to buy today. Ludacris produced his first major label album quickly after in 2000 entitled, "Back for the First Time," which went 3X Platinum, propelling him to become one of the first Dirty South hip hop artists to achieve huge success. 


He went on to produce more Platinum albums like Word of Mouf and Chicken-n-Beer in 2001 and 2003 respectively, then released what many call his more "serious" albums in the following years: The Red Light District (2004), Release Therapy (2006), and Theater of the Mind (2008). 


Did you know Ludacris is also an award-winning actor? He's appeared in many films, including: 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), Crash (2004), Gamer (2009), Fast Five (2011), New Year's Eve (2011), and Fast & Furious 6 (2013).
Fun Fact: Ludacris still drives his 1993 Acura Legend because it reminds him of when he was a struggling artist. Despite having over 240,000 miles on it, he says it's his favorite car and that he'll never get rid of it.
